This moment…

I love it when your smile touches mine.

If anyone ever asks me what part of my life you are, I will look at them and smile and say, “The best part.” The happiness you give me is something I’ll never be able to get enough of. I love having you in my world, and I love having you to love.

  1. For one thing, I shall comment as long as Upasna does not ask me to buzz off (I know she won’t, and I also know I won’t make her!!) and of course so can you!

Sorry, I seem to remember this … “but I find it weird that anyone should find it necessary to commnent on the nature of someone else’s blog!!” And I also seem to remember this … “its like being stupid enough to buy something and then if its not to your liking…” If you weren’t trying to get me to shut up, then why these wonderful adjectives?

For another if such things are left off blogs, such advices are too

Ok! When she leaves such things off blogs, I’ll leave the advice off it too.

unless of course there are different rules for self and the world!!

Oh I wish there were. I wish …

And as far as not expressing your deepest darkest feelings is concerned, you think they shouldn’t?

See, here’s the problem. Feelings, often, are directed at some person. And such feelings are best left known only to the two persons concerned. Which has been my point all along. Anyway, Upasna and I have had a wierd email exchange on this topic and it was almost dead when you butted in. Very heroic, actually, like a cavalry charge arriving in the nick of time to realise the conflict is over and peace has been declared.

And then, I never denied I see the world through rose tinted glasses and know nothing about what you are saying and the world around

Then don’t talk about courage and cowardice and anonymity being the coward’s refuge. The world is not all black and white. Infact, it is mostly gray and that is where anonymity fits in.

but reading your comments definitely makes me feel proud of myself because I have courage enough to not pretend otherwise and in fact admit it in public!!!:)

Very good for you!!!!! Seriously. Courage! Hey, reading your comments definitely makes me feel proud of you too!!!!!!!!! Wayyyy to goooooo!!!!!!!

    (peace!)

  5. Upasna:-@Shauny: I disagree with the boss thingie..thts like one in a million chance…abt th 2nd reason ya rite!..if ppl hv the audacity to comment they mite as well b brave enuf to stand by it..

Try standing in Tiannamen square with a poster in your hand which says, in Chinese, of course, “Democracy rules, Communism and Mao Suck.” Be brave enough to stand by your beliefs.

But otherwise, I don’t know the people concerned and no offense meant, but I find it weird that anyone should find it necessary to commnent on the nature of someone else’s blog!!

And I find it wierd that anyone should find it necessary to comment on the nature of someone else’s comment.

its like being stupid enough to buy something and then if its not to your liking curse people for selling it in the first place

Many a times it is what happens. You buy something and then realise that it is not as good as it has been advertised to be (Upasna, not commenting about your blog). You (Anon poster) may stay shut and kiss bye bye to your money; I don’t. You do go out and complain to the people who sold it to you. Ever heard of something called Warranty?

and its totally besides the point that blog is supposed to be a personal expression, in whichever form!!

Ok, so if tomorrow someone decides to post his / her deepest fantisies (in explicit language) (Upasna, not talking about your blog), is it ok? You have no idea what I’m talking about in my previous posts. No, seriously, you don’t. You think you have an idea and that’s why you stood up for your friend here. But you don’t have an idea. Trust me, you don’t. Not one teensy weensy bit. Nada! Nhyet! Nicht! Non! Nahi! Naheeeee! No!

Sorry, but couldn’t stop myself from saying this coz even i had people saying some things about my blog

So you form the Freedom for Blogs and food and shelter for all association and go about proselytising? Lady, I repeat my point. Some things that are close to the heart are best left unpublished.

I find not only unnecessaryy but also outrageously ridiculous .

Then disable the ability (on your blog) to comment anonymously.

Didn’t mean it to be anonymous, for I believe that whatever might be the reasons, anonymity is almost always a consequence of cowardice in one form or the other!!

    Almost always a consequence …
There – you don’t even have the courage to make firm statements – absolutes. So should I say you are a coward?

Have you read Alexander Solzhenitsyn’s work? Have you read anything about life in Communist China, during Mao’s time and now? Have you read about life in the many tinpot african dictatorships? Or maybe Saudi Arabia? Do you believe every non-jewish German during the period between the world wars was a Nazi? If not, why did they not stand up and fight the Nazis? Do you know what happened to Jewish sympathisers?

You really have no idea what this world is about. You see everything through rose tinted glasses. Thank your stars you live in India. Ask someone what it was like, living in the Emergency. Then imagine an emergency forever. I doubt many of the people who stood up for democracy during the emergency would do so if there were no chance of democracy being restored.

  6. @ Anon: i hv not askd for the identity of the anon ppl..jus stated wht i feel..it means i wudn want to comment as anon..not tht i wud ask someone commenting here who they are..
but with someone askin me to marry him..dont u think i ought kno who they are??;)

  7. Does it really matter if the comment came from Mr. Taneja or Mr. Gupta?
In fact an anonymous comment have the advantage of not being judged in the light of the personal reputation of its writer.
A person simply may wish to just leave his/her sincere thouht behind!! Why demand him/her to be identified!

  8. @Mads: i dont know is the bestest and the most honest comment i hv received for this post! thanks..
    Abt anon..well i agree with u..
abt ppl commenting abt the blog/posts..its ok..their call..i never force ppl to read this neway!

@Shauny: I disagree with the boss thingie..thts like one in a million chance…abt th 2nd reason ya rite!..if ppl hv the audacity to comment they mite as well b brave enuf to stand by it..

  9. OOOpppssssssssss that was dumb me!!! Didn’t mean it to be anonymous, for I believe that whatever might be the reasons, anonymity is almost always a consequence of cowardice in one form or the other!!

  10. Hhmmmmm , well about the post….i don’t know! That’s all I feel like saying!

But otherwise, I don’t know the people concerned and no offense meant, but I find it weird that anyone should find it necessary to commnent on the nature of someone else’s blog!! its like being stupid enough to buy something and then if its not to your liking curse people for selling it in the first place and its totally besides the point that blog is supposed to be a personal expression, in whichever form!!

  11. Sometimes people post anonymously because they’re commenting about what goes on in their workplace and they don’t want a google search by their boss to be the end of their career.

Sometimes people post anonymously because they’re living in totalitarian states which don’t allow discussions on democracy, freedom and human rights to go unpunished.

There are many reasons why people post anonymously. And they’re all valid reasons.

  12. @ prak: well Yahoo was forced on Shauny courtesy yours truly! 🙂

@Priya: well i dont kno y ppl post anonymously too..but guess its their choice!

  13. i dont think there’s a bit strength in anonymous postings. neways i came here randomly by a link on Orkut and i dont wanna make it a discussion forum. Allright, then checkin out. bye guys n happy posting.

  14. This is turning out to be a shout-box rather than a blog… Someone told me there is a software called yahoo messenger, is it true??? 😉

  15. Upasna, are you writing a self help book? Like, “You can win too,” or “Kokur Soup for the soul.” (pun intended)
Your last few posts point in that direction.
Pretty soon we’ll read publicity material from your publicist – “The Mistress of holistic soul chicken.”
    WTF?
Are you on Prozac or something?
